In Brief: Play programmes to benefit from Lottery Fund

Children's play programmes are to benefit from another £33.9m from the Big Lottery Fund to design, create and improve children's play facilities in 88 areas across England. On Tuesday, Sanjay Dighe, chair of the Big Lottery Fund's England Committee, said, 'This latest round of awards will open up a new world of make-believe and adventure for children. We have given over £46.2m in play grants so far and there will be more announcements later this year. This funding will bring local play strategies to life and help to improve the physical, emotional and social well-being of the nation's children.'
