Phonics guidance pack sent to all PVI settings

All private and voluntary nurseries will receive copies of the new phonics pack developed following recommendations from the Rose Review into early reading.
Copies have already been sent out to all primary schools in England. The DfES said it would be distributing the Letters and Sounds packs to local authorities with the expectation that they would be sent to private, voluntary and independent settings. The resource includes guidance for practitioners, a six-phase teaching programme booklet, poster and DVD, which includes clips filmed in schools showing effective practice in each phase.
