Settings sought to join local networks for outdoor play

Learning Through Landscapes, the school grounds charity, is calling for outdoor play enthusiasts to share their expertise with others in the area.

LTL has set up an initiative to build regional networks of early years professionals who would find out what resources are available for their settings locally and share ideas and initiatives. Mary Jackson, senior development officer at LTL, said of the networks, 'We envisage they would operate at a county level and would include anyone within the area who would be able to support settings in outdoor play.' She added, 'Within the county all sorts of people could help, such as play specialists, teachers...
