The support organisation for community-run early years groups in Gloucestershire - PATA, the Playgroup and Toddler Association - has achieved Investor in People status. Over nine years its membership has grown to more than 600 playgroups and toddler groups, and a number of private and statutory day nurseries as associates. PATA operations manager Ann Wheeler said, 'We're delighted at our success, particularly as this was our first attempt at Investors in People. The whole process took about nine months -rather like a pregnancy really!'
