Digital channel gets soap for pre-schoolers

* A unique soap opera for pre-school children is to be launched by BBC Scotland. 'Applecross', set in a fictional Scottish village, will combine adult actors and documentary sequences involving children with the aim of reflecting the lives of children aged under five. The programme will be broadcast from next September on Cbeebies, the BBC's new digital channel for pre-school children.
