In brief...Warning over mini-cup fruit jelly products

Parents and carers have been advised by the Food Standards Agency not to let children eat certain mini-cup fruit jelly products that contain Konjac because of the risk of choking on the sweets. The sweets have a number of different brand names, including ABC Mini Fruit Bites, New Choice Mini Fruit Gels and Rolin Mango Jelly Cup. The products have been linked to a number of choking deaths around the world, but none have been reported so far in the UK.
