Nursery prices are on the up

Demand for children's day nurseries as going business concerns has gone from strength to strength despite the economic uncertainty prevailing since September, according to the annual review of leading surveyors and agents Christie and Co. The company saw nursery prices rise during 2001 as demand outstripped supply, and has put this down in part to new entrants keen to gain a foothold in the market. Its Business Review 2001 and Business Outlook 2002 attributes the increased demand to the growing number of women returning to work after having children and says that development has also been encouraged by Government funding...
