Nursery closures and service reductions in the London borough of Ealing are likely to be met with stiff resistance from Unison members, staff and parents, after a public meeting last week. Campaigners also planned to rally support for extending nursery provision in the borough. Ealing Unison reckons that nine council-run nurseries are threatened by cuts. The local council has said that no changes would take place before September.
