In brief...Childcare for London: Social Enterprise Solutions

Opportunities for delivering the National Childcare Strategy in London through social enterprise solutions are considered in a new survey undertaken by the Daycare Trust on behalf of Social Enterprise London. The survey, Childcare for London: Social Enterprise Solutions, launched last week, explores opportunities for growing and creating new multi-stakeholder childcare social enterprises in conjunction with the Neighbourhood Nurseries Initiative. It defines social enterprises as competitive businesses owned and trading for a social purpose, and says they provide long-term benefit for employees, consumers and the community and bring people and communities together for economic development and social gain.
