Children are to have greater access to Welsh-medium nursery provision in Wales. The Welsh Assembly has allocated an additional £7m in support of bilingual nursery education in the years 2004 to 2006, so that there will be more trained practitioners capable of delivering nursery provision in Welsh by September 2006. Jenny Randerson, minister for culture, sport and the Welsh language, said, 'The Assembly government's policies will continue to encourage individuals to learn Welsh and use the language.
