Childcare unit off to new start

The Government unit overseeing childcare, early years and Sure Start provision in England has been re-named the Sure Start unit. The 'rebranding' of the unit was announced yesterday (Wednesday) at the National Sure Start, Early Years and Childcare Conference in the QEII conference centre in Westminster. Led by Catherine Ashton, it is an interdepartmental unit between the Department for Education and Skills and the Department for Work and Pensions.
