Last week, Nursery World featured in most of the national newspapers as they picked up on our nanny salary survey published in Professional Nanny. There was a certain amount of shock that nannies in some areas are being paid a reasonable salary, with rises well over inflation. But the level of nannies' salaries should not be seen as a problem - rather, it is parents' inability to pay them because there is no tax relief available.
