I am a student classroom assistant currently taking my NCFE Stage Two Certificate and I feel very insulted by the comment that Estelle Morris, the education secretary, made about classroom assistants cleaning up the mess and paint pots in the classroom (News, 24 January). Classroom assistants should be treated with the respect and the dignity they deserve as they are an invaluable resource to teachers.
