Criminal neglect

It seems ironic that the Government should ask nursery staff to look out for badly behaved children who may be a threat to society later on in adulthood, but the same Government can't pay early years staff a decent wage ('Nurseries asked to spot future criminals', 25 April). Early years staff already do a great job in looking after our greatest assets, so this problem should be left with the parents. How sad it is also to label children as potential 'criminals' from such an early age. If only the Government allowed more opportunity for children to play, then we...
