A better balance between work and the home

A better balance between work and the home can improve the morale of the workforce, reduce staff turnover and boost productivity, Jane Davidson, Welsh minister for education and lifelong learning, said last week as she unveiled the Work-Life Balance pilot projects, which will involve three local authorities, two Assembly-sponsored public bodies, a university and a college. The good practice developed by the projects, which are managed by the charity Chwarae Teg and funded by the Welsh Assembly for three years, will be disseminated to other employers.
