Children are being urged to 'go Italian'
Nursery World,
20 June 2002
Children are being urged to 'go Italian' for next week's Focus on Food Week starting Monday 24 June, and appreciate the benefits of fresh pasta, seasonal vegetables and olive oil. Anita Cormac, director of the RSA Focus on Food Campaign, said, 'We want children to experience the authenticity of Italian food and the cultural values of the whole family eating together. It is important that the experience not only promotes learning in food technology, but also extends to cross-curricular learning in subjects such as maths, history and geography.'
