Representatives of the early years sector came together at a conference in London last week to discuss the best way forward following the closure of the Early Years National Training Organisation earlier this year. Rosemary Murphy, chief executive of the National Day Nurseries Association, warned that a decision would have to be made 'in the very near future' on whether the early years should bid for its own Sector Skills Council or form a partnership with another bidder.
