Incorporate technology into a favourite form of role-play with ideas for using some new software by April Jones Role-play is a fundamental part of good early years practice. For children it sometimes can be quite open-ended, involving imaginary places and characters, but more often it is an imitation of 'real life', reflecting events or situations they have encountered. 'At the Doctor's' (see review, right) is a piece of software that can enhance children's role-play by enabling them to use a computer in a way they observe it being used in real life.
