Another way of ensuring children get a sound sleep could be by installing a smoke alarm that you're not tempted to pull the batteries out of when you're cooking. The FireAngel smoke alarm plugs into a household light fitting between the socket and the bulb, runs off mains electricity and charges up whenever the light is switched on.
