'Make it a fiver, Gordon!'

'Make it a fiver, Gordon!' is the name of a campaign launched last week by the Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), calling on the Chancellor to increase the child tax credit by £5 a week for low-income families. The charity said that the Government will miss its first milestone target to reduce child poverty by a quarter by 2004/05 unless tax credits for children are increased in the April budget.
