Share information, childcarers urged

Nursery teachers, childminders and other early years practitioners in the public, private and voluntary sectors are being urged by the Government to become involved in an initiative to share information about the children in their care. In guidance published last week, the cross-departmental Children and Young People's Unit says that local authorities should take a lead in ensuring information is shared across the statutory and voluntary sectors in childcare and social services, health and education.
