CRB check fees rise again by 18 per cent

By James Tweed, Nursery World, 11 December 2003

The cost of fees for Disclosure checks on people wanting to work with children and vulnerable adults is being increased by the Criminal Records Bureau for the second time in less than a year. Last week the CRB said that from next April the cost of an Enhanced Disclosure would rise to £33 from £29, while a Standard Disclosure will cost £28 instead of £24. This means the fees will have increased by 18 per cent since June, and 133 per cent since the CRB started in 2002.
