With just days to go until the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act takes effect on 1 September, all education providers must make adjustments to prevent children with special needs being put at a disadvantage. Sarah Rimmington, legal caseworker for the RNID, the UK's largest charity for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, advised providers not to panic. She said, 'In many cases, it's about training staff to be more deaf-aware, or making a few simple changes that involve relatively small sums of money.
