Family service audit precedes centres

One of the most disadvantaged London boroughs is to carry out an evaluation of its family support services in readiness for the development of up to 15 children's centres. The evaluation is being commissoned jointly by Tower Hamlets borough council and the local primary care trust, which is the accountable body for local Sure Start programmes.
