Shake, rattle and roll!
By Lynne Garner,
Nursery World,

These fun and easy-to-make musical instruments will provide the children with hours of enjoyment, says Lynne Garner. So, get ready to feel the beat! Every country has its own range of musical instruments. They range from the didgeridoo, which originated in Australia, to the shekere from Ghana (which is best described as a rattle), to the zampona or bamboo panpipes originating in Peru to the mbira or finger piano from Zimbabwe. All have slowly evolved from their creation by native people using locally found materials.
