Children's play will be richer if it is prompted by their own interests, rather than imposed by adults, says Joan Norris Practitioners will no doubt be aware of the many publications filled with activity ideas around 'themes' or 'topics', such as 'Holidays', 'Minibeasts' or 'Under the Sea'.
