The National Day Nurseries Association is urging all local authorities to hold events for their local childcare community and openly discuss their plans for creating Sure Start Children's Centres with private and voluntary nursery providers. The aim is to encourage open lines of communication and better partnership working. Patricia Jackson, head of regional development at NDNA, said two events so far in Leicester and Blackpool 'had been very successful in kick-starting partnership arrangements'.
