Working mothers are likely to stay healthier and slimmer than their stay-at-home counterparts, according to a study published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. Researchers from University College London questioned 1,000 British women born in 1946 about their health and weight. They found that those who had been home-makers for all or most of their lives, and not gone out to work, were most likely to say their health was poor.
