Centre brings fruit and veg to your door

A children's centre on a Leeds housing estate has become a hub of the community by launching a fruit and vegetable delivery service, 15 years after the last local greengrocer closed. Hawksworth Wood Children's Centre set up the service in partnership with Hawksworth Older People's Support, Hawksworth Community Association and the YMCA to deliver to those less able to travel far to shops. It is called FADDS (Five-A-Day Delivery Service) as it aims to provide a healthy option to customers.
