Survey finds strong support for a national system of recording

A University of Glasgow survey into views on assessment of pupils' progress across the three to 14 age range has found strong support for a common national system for recording and reporting, seen as particularly important at the transition point between nursery and primary. At present, practice varies widely between local education authorities across Scotland.
