Call for tax policy to include nannies

A body representing nanny agencies has criticised the Government for excluding nannies from its childcare plans. The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), which represents many nanny agencies in England, has accused the Government of unfairly discriminating against nannies and the families employing them by excluding them from its proposed national rating system of day nurseries, childminders, pre-schools and playgroups.
