Black pupils win praise for achievements
Nursery World,
2 May 2002
Three primary schools have been praised by Ofsted inspectors for the achievements of their Black Caribbean pupils. In the schools, Sudbourne Primary in Lambeth and Allfarthing in Wandsworth, London, and Moat Farm Junior in Oldbury, West Midlands, Black Caribbean pupils make up between 10 and 33 per cent of the total intake. The inspectors found the schools' success was due in part to having a rich curriculum and said, 'The experience of pupils is broadened, enabling them to bring an additional perspective and depth to their learning.'
