Anger at threat to future QA funding

The future of quality assurance (QA) schemes hangs in the balance following plans mooted earlier this month in the Childcare Bill consultation, which suggest that money to fund Investors in Children (IiC) accredited schemes would have 'a greater impact on quality' if it was redirected to the new regulatory framework. The Sure Start website lists the names of 48 IiC schemes, including those run by local authorities, early years partnerships and early years and childcare organisations.
