When an inspector calls

We, like all other nursery providers, are awaiting our first unannounced inspection. It may seem like a good idea - so that we cannot prepare for it and Ofsted will see how we work without any preparation. However, the stress it is causing us is far greater than when we knew which month we would be inspected. We are obsessed with keeping our paperwork up to date, checking and re-checking it and collecting evidence of our work and the children's. We are thinking twice about taking the children out on trips and booking in visitors.
