Nursery nurses plan action after executive pay soars

Greenwich nursery nurses involved in a long-running pay dispute are furious after the London borough increased its chief executive's salary by £18,000 - more than one of the nursery nurses can earn in a year. Unison officials are finalising plans for a ballot on industrial action after the council refused to pay nursery nurses in full following a regrading exercise in which union and management agreed new job descriptions.
