Barnardo's projects in Belfast

Nursery World, 19 December 2002

(Photograph) - Twenty children, aged four to 15, from Barnardo's projects in Belfast, Lisburn, Bangor and Banbridge in Northern Ireland visited 10 Downing Street last week for a Christmas party with the charity's president, Cherie Booth. After enjoying a story and a visit from Father Christmas, the children helped her turn on the lights on the Christmas tree outside the prime minister's residence. Lynda Wilson, director of Barnardo's Northern Ireland, who accompanied the children, described the day as 'a fantastic pre-Christmas treat' for them.
