Playgroups can move mountains

Nursery World, 27 February 2003

Further to the letter by Geraldine Lander of the Koinonia Playgroup ('Playgroup survival', 30 January), in the past 17 months we have moved our playgroup twice. Initially when I took over we were in a very rundown hut that was cold, damp and dangerous. Finally we were forced to take action when the floor began to show mould and felt as though it would collapse. We hurriedly moved into a hotel function suite that was lovely, although not really purpose-built for a playgroup. Now we have moved again into a church hall, which is more suited to our needs.
