£4.5m boost for nurseries

Neighbourhood Nurseries received a boost in funding last week with £4.5m more from the New Opportunities Fund. The award, which will create 43 more Neighbourhood Nurseries in England, includes Pounds 224,300 for a 60-place nursery in the London borough of Newham. The nursery, due to open in April, will be part of the East London Childcare Institute, a project to house childcare, early years training and business development under one roof.
