Pre-school Learning Alliance's annual conference

Education secretary Charles Clarke is to open the Pre-school Learning Alliance's annual conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster on 5 June. Its theme, 'Changing lives, changing life', highlights the second phase of the PLA's campaign to address the shortage of childcare places and bring about practical changes in how nursery education and childcare are delivered.
