Cost of records checks will double

The cost of conducting criminal record checks on people working with children in England and Wales is set to more than double in price and will take up to a week longer to be processed from next month, the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) revealed last week. From 1 July, Enhanced Disclosure checks for people working with children and vulnerable adults will cost Pounds 29, while Standard Disclosure checks for other professions will cost £24 instead of the present £12 for both.
