(Photograph) - Children got a whiff of the outdoor classroom at the opening of the newly relocated Growing Schools Garden at London's Greenwich Environmental Curriculum Centre. The opening on 11 June launched National School Grounds Week, run by the charity Learning Through Landscapes. Schools minister Stephen Twigg came along to praise the garden for offering 'a uniquely rich and rewarding outdoor learning experience', and said, 'It is vital that we engage young people through a creative and stimulating curriculum.'
