Children's Fund is 'good model'

The Children's Fund is a good model for organising local preventative services that help reduce the negative effects of poverty and tackle early signs of social exclusion in England, a joint report by Ofsted, the Audit Commission and the Social Services Inspectorate has found. The Fund, which was established by the Government in 2001 and allocated Pounds 380m over three years, primarily targets children aged five to 13, whose needs may fall outside the remit of statutory services.
