Come and Play initiative

Primary school children at out-of-school clubs could call the tune with Come and Play, a two-year music initiative run by Kids' Clubs Network and funded by Youth Music which has worked with almost 2,000 children at 70 out-of-school clubs across the UK since it was launched in March. The initiative seeks to involve children, especially those who live in disadvantaged areas, in workshops led by experienced musicians that explore rhythm, sound and tempo as well as the instruments and musical traditions of different cultures.
