A taxing problem

I am sat facing an invoice for essential refurbishment to our outside soft play area. It amounts to £7,580 plus a further Pounds 1,330 VAT. If we were a school or playgroup we would be eligible for a grant. We certainly would not have had to pay VAT. Sixty per cent of our children now receive funding through the early years grant.
