Longer hours for same pay under single status rules

Schools in Sunderland stand accused of using nursery nurses to run extended schools on the cheap, as they are forced to work more hours to keep the same pay under the single status agreement. Nursery nurse Gina Smith will call for a national pay structure for nursery nurses and teaching assistants at the annual conference of the Professional Association of Teachers in Oxford next week.
