The DfES is carrying out a consultation on draft statutory guidance for local authorities and their partners on providing integrated children's services. The joint guidance with the Department of Health and the Department for Work and Pensions calls for close working between local authorities, strategic health authorities, primary care trusts and Jobcentre Plus to fulfil their duties under the Childcare Act.
