Unions row over teaching duties

Awar of words broke out last week between two unions over the Government's workload agreement for schools in England. The row between the National Union of Teachers (NUT) and Unison, which represents school support staff, came after Unison general secretary Dave Prentis wrote to Doug McAvoy, NUT general secretary, to express his disappointment that the NUT had chosen to defend its decision not to sign the national agreement 'by attacking those unions which have signed it'.
