What's in the job?

I have worked as a nursery nurse in a Middlesbrough local authority school nursery for 20 years. In our authority all council employees are going through a local government single status job evaluation scheme. It has been developed jointly with employers and unions nationally to grade all former manual and APT&C local government jobs on a common basis. Factors common to all jobs have been identified and are to be assessed and scored. They come under the headings of knowledge and skills, responsibilities, effort demands and environmental demands.
