An extra £9.6m has been allocated by the Welsh Assembly

An extra £9.6m has been allocated by the Welsh Assembly government for mainstream funding for schools, guaranteeing over £2,000 to the smallest primary schools and £7,900 to the largest. Another £1m will also go to support more play facilities for disabled children. A total of £22m has already been set aside for spending on new early years programmes in 2007/08.
