Nurseries to get specialist diet advice

A specialist dietitian has been appointed to give training and guidance to private and voluntary nurseries as part of a new multi-agency childhood obesity strategy developed by South Tyneside PCT. Tracey Lindsay will visit settings and advise on developing a healthy eating policy, offer training on healthy eating for nought to five-year-olds, assess menus, and put together action plans on improving provision.
